Why this focaccia is different?
Focaccia is a flat oven-baked typical Italian bread and you can use as a side to many meals or as an appetizer. This is a healthy focaccia version than the classical focaccia because I used instead of refined flour of wheat, the Emmer flour which is an old wheat grain cultivated in Switzerland, whole and with very low gluten.
Emmer is rich in fiber, protein, magnesium and other vitamins. It is a complete protein source when combined with legumes. This is excellent for anyone looking for a plant-based high-protein food source.
Emmer may be an alternative flour for people who might experience digestive issues from white flour, or for those following a healthy diet. Try this healthy focaccia bread!
