Traditional Hummus:
Chickpeas or Garbanzo beans—-are a type of legume, which are rich in fiber and protein. In addition it has vitamins and minerals, such as B vitamins, vitamins A, C, K, Beta-Carotene ,Folate, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Zinc, Selenium, Potassium and so..
Tahini is a paste made from toasted and ground sesame seeds. It is a common ingredient in popular foods around the world, including hummus, halva, and baba ghanoush.
Ingredients : (all organic)
- 300g of chickpeas
- 1 cup of lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove
- a pinch of Himalayan salt
- 1/2 cup of extra virgin Olive Oil
- handful of coriander
- 1 tsp of tahine (optional)
How to make it :
1 – leave the chickpeas in water overnight, with a tsp of cider vinegar , to remove some harmful substances.
2 – Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Then place them in a pan with plenty of water. Cook until they are tender.
3 – In a food processor, put the chickpeas and the others ingredients, and process until the paste is homogeneous.
4 – You can add more olive oil on the top, and serve with a mint leaf to decorate.
