I love Swiss Rösti !
Swiss Rösti is a very nutritious and satiating dish !
Swiss Rösti is considerate for Swiss people to be a national dish. Originally it was eaten by farmers who needing fuel for a long day’s work were plated up a mountain of grated, fried potatoes in the canton of Bern. The only ingredients were potatoes and butter, eaten like a breakfast dish. Some folks par-boil the potatoes before grating them. It is commonly served with spinach and fried eggs, bacon, cheese and herbs.
In this recipe I suggest without bacon.
Serving = 1
Prep time = 15 minutes
Cook time = 20minutes
Ingredients:
500 grams of potatoes
butter for frying the potatoes
2 eggs
Himalayan salt to taste
cheese (optional)
How to make it ?
1- Steam potatoes for 10 minutes.
2- Let it cool and grate.
3- In a pan place the butter at medium heat until dissolves.
4- Add the grated potatoes and let fry over low heat. (10 minutes on one side, than turn on the other side and fry another 10 minutes).
5- when is golden add the cheese until it melts.
6- Fry the eggs and place over the cheese.
Now is ready! Enjoy !
