A Healthy version of Pizza Marguerita
Pizza Marguerita :
Pizza is the world’s favorite food. The combination of delicious crust, tomato sauce and cheese pleases everyone. However, it’s labeled unhealthy, as it can be high in calories, sodium and carbs. It all depends on the ingredients and the preparation methods.
Freshly homemade pizza contain healthier ingredients, because you can choose them.
In this recipe I choose for the crust whole spelt flour, because its low gluten content and it is not refined, which means more fiber. The tomato sauce is made with organic tomatoes and the cheese I choose is of high quality organic goat cheese and topped with rucola. I don’t use any type of oil.
There are many ways to boost the nutrition content of your pizza. Choosing whole-grain crust, making your own tomato sauce, add some veggies and high quality cheese!
