How grows Santa Helena Organic Coffee?
Santa Helena’s coffee grows in the Southern Mountains of the State of Minas Gerais in Brazil, at an altitude of 1200 meters, and that’s why the coffee has a special flavor.
It grows naturally within the shade of lush forests , providing a home for wild animals and plants, consequently, sustaining soil fertility and an alive ecosystem.
The planting and harvest are made manually and does not go through any process.
The coffee dries in the sun on the large farm terrace, exactly as in 1816 when the first coffee plantation started in the family.
It is Organic certified by AAO (Association of Organic Agriculture), International Organic Certification USDA, Fairtrade and BIO INSPECTA in Switzerland.
Characteristic of the Santa Helena’s coffee:
The coffee is Single Origin, 100% Arabica (Red Catuaí, variety).
Fine coffee, with a real superior quality.
It brings a distinctive aroma with a low level of residual acidity and an accentuated sweetness with notes of caramel, chocolate, honey, hints of walnuts and fruits.
The coffee comes from Brazil in Raw Arabica Green beans and goes directly to the Engadin, in Swiss Mountains.
There it is roasted in a Wood Roaster by hand. That is to say, respecting ancient traditions.
It does not go through any chemical, mechanical or blending process.
